The Grand Canyon is located in northern Arizona. Grand Canyon Railway departs daily from Williams, Arizona, 65 miles south of the world-famous abyss. Coined the “Gateway to the Grand Canyon”, Williams is located off Interstate 40, 32 miles west of Flagstaff.
Beginning the week of March 18, Grand Canyon Blvd. in Williams, AZ will be under construction for approximately 6 weeks, and at times may be closed to traffic. We recommend that our guests take exit 165 when approaching Williams from the east (Flagstaff/Phoenix), or exit 161 when approaching from the west (Los Angeles/Las Vegas) in order to get to the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel. The city of Williams will post signs with the suggested detour.

Connecting on the Amtrak Southwest Chief

Flagstaff’s Pulliam Airport (FLG) is serviced by American Airlines and United Airlines. The next closest airport is Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), followed by Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS).
Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel offers plentiful complimentary parking in Williams. If you book a package that includes an overnight stay at the Grand Canyon South Rim, you are welcome to leave your personal vehicle parked in our lots for the duration of your getaway.
