While the canyon is certainly a geologic wonder that truly must be seen to be appreciated, it is at its best when visitors take time to walk its trails, ride a mule and understand its native peoples. When planning your visit keep in mind that Grand Canyon is heavily visited for most of the year (averaging more than four million visitors each year) and it is imperative to plan ahead for lodging, camping, back-country permits or mule trips.
The Grand Canyon is a seasonal wonder offering an abundance of activities for all ages and interests.
