Make the most of your time and see the canyon from different perspectives. Take a 1.5 hour guided motor coach tour that works in conjunction with the train's schedule during the layover while at the canyon, allowing you to get to some of the most recognizable view points along the South Rim that you wouldn't have time to walk to. Plus, you'll still have time to walk the historic Grand Canyon Village where you can eat lunch and visit historic hotels and shops.

Enjoy the same great experience as the Freedom Tour, plus enjoy a 1 hour buffet lunch at Maswik Lodge. The 2.5 hour tour works seamlessly with the train's schedule, allowing you to get to some of the most recognizable view points along the South Rim. The tour bus will deliver you to right to you lunch so all the planning is taken care of. Plus, you'll have about an hour on your own to explore the historic Grand Canyon Village where you can visit the historic hotels and shops.

Through our partnership with Grand Canyon National Park Lodges, Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel is proud to introduce a new motorcoach tour option available to guests spending the night inside the national park.

The “Arizona Sunset Tour” is an exclusive tour just for train passengers staying overnight in the park and features a guided, round-trip motorcoach ride including a stop at Hermits Rest. The narrated 2-hour tour will include four stops at the best places along the rim for viewing and that special sunset photograph. Also included with the purchase of this tour is lunch at the Arizona Room at Bright Angel Lodge.

BEARIZONA DRIVE-THRU
WILDLIFE PARK

At Bearizona, experience animal wildlife the way it was meant to be - in a natural environment - all from the comfort and safety of your own vehicle. Located in Williams, AZ., Bearizona is approximately 160 acres. Visitors will drive through more than three miles of Ponderosa Pine Forest viewing North American animals in natural habitats when they visit.

INNER CANYON TOUR

Operated by Grand Canyon Custom Tours, the Inner Canyon Tour departs from the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel and take guests to the bottom of the Grand Canyon in a custom 4x4 tour vehicle.

Guests will descend over 4000 feet into the Inner Gorge of the Grand Canyon while your guide provides information and history about the area while passing through changing geographic formations.

Upon arriving at the Colorado River, guests eat lunch and have plenty of time to enjoy the area, take photos, explore, and possibly take a dip in the Colorado River. After departing the Grand Canyon, guests will head to Grand Canyon Caverns for a 30-minute tour of the caverns.

CANYON SPIRIT HELICOPTER TOUR

Adults & Children: $300.03

Operated by Maverick Helicopters, the Canyon Spirit Helicopter Tour departs from the Maswik Transportation Desk and travels to Grand Canyon Airport for a 45 to 50-minute flight over the North, South, and East rims of the Grand Canyon.

The tour travels across the central corridor (called the Dragon Corridor) of the Grand Canyon, crossing from the South Rim to the North Rim at the widest and deepest part of the Canyon. Guests fly in an EcoStar Helicopter, a part of the fleet Maverick is proud to call the newest helicopter fleet in the world. Helicopters feature wrap-around glass for outstanding 180-degree visibility as well as front-facing, theater-style leather seats. Voice-activated headphones are also provided and the experienced pilots offer personal narration throughout the trip.
