Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel Closed
Through Sunday, June 14, 2020

Updated 4/21/20

These are unprecedented times with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The health and safety of our guests and employees are top priorities. We have been closely monitoring the guidance and recommendations of public health agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) as well as federal, state, and local governments.

Given the ongoing and ever stricter guidelines from the CDC, WHO, as well as federal and state governments to limit gatherings, we have made the difficult decision to suspend our operations through Sunday, June 14. We regret that this situation has resulted in the necessity to cancel all lodging, train, RV, and tour reservations for stays through June 14, 2020.

This decision was not easy and we recognize the significant impact on your travel plans, but we know that this is the responsible path forward to continue to help slow the spread of the disease.

We look forward to getting back to normal operations as of Monday, June 15, 2020.

Ongoing Actions When Operating

At the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel the safety of our guests, and staff is a top priority.

We anticipate that you may have questions surrounding our efforts to manage coronavirus (COVID-19). Fortunately, our robust sanitation protocol has been in place for many years. These continuing efforts include:

  • Widespread availability of alcohol-based hand sanitizer in all guest check-in areas, food outlets, cash registers, and tour vehicles
  • Disinfecting hard surfaces of all of our lodges multiple times per day, including restrooms, counters, furniture, room keys, elevators, and telephones
  • Around-the-clock housekeeping of all of our lodges’ public areas
  • Daily housekeeping of all hotel guest rooms
  • Regularly educating our staff on the importance of (and enforcing adherence to) established policies on hand washing, covering sneezes, and staying home if they are feeling under the weather
  • Constantly sanitizing all exterior doorknobs and handles
  • Constantly sanitizing all guest room doorknobs

We also continue to adopt all reasonably prudent sanitization measures as prescribed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and encourage you to refer to this respected resource as you make your own near-term travel plans. Together with you, we will minimize the risk of any illness.

We want you to book and travel with us with confidence. Should your plans change, you can modify any reservation through the day prior to your original date of arrival.

Book and Travel with Confidence
