Grand Canyon National Park Maps

The Grand Canyon is in a remote part of northern Arizona. When visiting the canyon, the majority of people visit the South Rim as this is where the canyon is most developed. Much of this is due to the fact that the railroad first arrived here in 1901 and built many of the structures that grace the South Rim. The area of buildings surrounding the train depot, El Tovar, and Bright Angel Lodge, is called Grand Canyon Village. This was the original center of activity early in the 20th century and remains that way today.

As time passed and visitation increased, more infastructure was added including the roads that take visitors out to the West Rim toward Hopi Point. Grand Canyon Railway offers guide-narrated motorcoach rim tours that take guests to scenic vantage points along the rim. The rim tours are designed to work with the train schedule so guests don't have to worry about missing the southbound train. The park also offers guests a free shuttle service - you can download the map (1mb).
