Travel agents can now book rooms at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel via the Global Distribution System (GDS).
May 27, 2010 - ARIZONA KIDS RIDE THE GRAND CANYON RAILWAY FREE THIS SUMMER AS PART OF SPECIAL PACKAGE
The Grand Canyon Railway’s new “Kids Ride Free” package will give Arizona families a summer savings opportunity to experience the historic train. Available May 28-Aug. 14, 2010, the specially priced package is available throughout the promotion period only to Arizona residents.

The Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, Ariz. was recently named one of “America’s Top Train Rides” in a Parade Magazine article by author Stephen Fried.
April 23, 2010 - GRAND CANYON RAILWAY TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL TRAIN DAY MAY 8-9, 2010 WITH STEAM LOCOMOTIVE RIDES POWERED BY RECYCLED VEGETABLE OIL; DISCOUNT ON PACKAGE
In celebration of National Train Day, the Grand Canyon Railway (GCR) and the Grand Canyon Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society will host a two-day event May 8-9, 2010 featuring rides pulled by a steam locomotive powered by vegetable oil, model railroad displays, a 7-1/2 inch gauge live steam locomotive and computer-based simulations from the engineer’s point of view.
April 22, 2010 - GRAND CANYON RAILWAY OFFERS DISCOUNTED PACKAGE FOR ARIZONA RESIDENTS
The Grand Canyon Railway will offer its “I Can Get Away” package May 7-27, 2010 to Arizona residents featuring a room for two nights at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel and a coach class train ride to Grand Canyon National Park.
March 10, 2010 - ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY TO RIDE FOR FREE IN COACH CLASS ON GRAND CANYON RAILWAY THROUGHOUT MAY
Active-duty members of the United States Armed Forces will receive free coach class service on the Grand Canyon Railway throughout the month of May 2010.

October 29, 2009 – RATES FOR GRAND CANYON RAILWAY PACKAGES DROP UP TO 26 PERCENT IN WINTER; ENHANCED ONLINE TOOL PERMITS TRAVELERS TO FIND RATES AND BOOK VACATIONS QUICKLY
Rates for Grand Canyon Railway packages will drop two times this winter – on Nov. 1, 2009 and again on Jan. 3, 2010. The rates for packages – which include train travel, accommodations and more – drop as much as 26 percent during the historic train’s winter season.
September 24, 2009 – GRAND CANYON RAILWAY TAKING ONLINE RESERVATIONS FOR THE POLAR EXPRESS RUN, MAKING IMPROVEMENTS TO SANTA'S VILLAGE
Tickets for the Grand Canyon Railway’s presentation of The Polar Express are now available online as well as by calling the reservations telephone number. Additionally, when not building toys for this upcoming Christmas, Santa and his elves are busy upgrading “Santa’s Village” for the presentation.
September 2, 2009 - GRAND CANYON RAILWAY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS FOR NOV. 13, 2009 RUN OF THE POLAR EXPRESS
Grand Canyon Railway is accepting applications from non-profit organizations in Arizona to participate in the 8 p.m. Nov. 13, 2009 run of The Polar Express. For the ninth year the Railway will host charities from Arizona.
August 17, 2009 - GRAND CANYON RAILWAY RECEIVES ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION OF ITS ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM; FIRST SHORT-LINE TOURIST RAILROAD TO ACHIEVE THIS DESIGNATION
The Grand Canyon Railway (GCR) has become the first short-line tourist railroad in the United States to receive the prestigious ISO 14001 third-party certification for its environmental management system (EMS).
August 11, 2009 - GRAND CANYON RAILWAY TO CELEBRATE 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH SPECIAL RUNS OF STEAM LOCOMOTIVE POWERED BY RECYCLED VEGETABLE OIL
The Grand Canyon Railway will commemorate the 20th anniversary of its rebirth Sept. 19, 2009 with a special roundtrip run to the Grand Canyon of its Steam Locomotive 4960 fueled by recycled vegetable oil.
July 29, 2009 - GRAND CANYON RAILWAY ADDS JEEP, HIKING, HELICOPTER AND FLOAT TOURS TO ITS LINEUP OF GETAWAY PACKAGES
The Grand Canyon Railway is now offering several new add-on tour options for travelers who purchase its Railway packages. The regional tours include an extra night at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel at a 50 percent discount off the regular rate of $169.
July 23, 2009 - GRAND CANYON RAILWAY'S POLAR EXPRESS WILL RUN FROM MID-NOVEMBER THROUGH JANUARY 9; CHRISTMAS EVE EXCURSION AND INCREASED CAPACITY OFFERED THIS YEAR
Tickets are now available for the Grand Canyon Railway’s presentation of The Polar Express running Nov. 13 through Jan. 9, 2010. The Grand Canyon Railway will also offer a Christmas Eve Polar Express and will increase capacity compared to previous years.
