Facilities Maintenance & Grounds
Maintenance Engineer III – 1 FT (02/12)
This position works the third shift which may start at 9:00pm – 7:00am. Minimum one-year experience in general building maintenance or in trades such as electrical, plumbing or carpentry is desired. Possess valid Arizona Driver’s License. Position requires a valid Arizona Commercial Drivers License with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements. Must be able to comply with the Xanterra/GCR Company Vehicle Policy. Possess physical ability to perform tasks of the position including entering confined spaces, ascending/descending ladder, lifting up to 100 pounds and occasionally crawling, pushing and pulling. Should possess the ability to use basic hand and power tools common to the maintenance industry.
Food & Beverage Department:
Kitchen Utility; 2 PT (02/12)
This is primarily a PM shift from 2:00 until about 11:00 p.m at the Grand Depot Café. Must work weekends and holidays. Clean dishes, operate dish machine, wash pots. Physically demanding position requiring bending and lifting; exposure to wet floors occurs.
Server; 2 PT GDC (02/12)
The shift for the Server positions are PM: 3:30/4:00 until about 9:30/10:00 p.m. and you must work weekends and holidays. The food service in the Grand Depot Café is buffet style. The food service at Spenser’s is menu order. The Server takes beverage orders, including alcoholic beverages, and delivers them to the guests, as well as filling other guest requests. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to lift and carry tray of beverages at shoulder height. Previous Server experience strongly preferred.
Train Prep; 1 PT AM (02/12)
This is a Part time AM position from 6:00am-11:00am. Prepare menu/recipe items to GCR standards and specifications. Always follow the recipe manual when preparing food. Maintain a clean safe and sanitary work area. Communicate with ticketing (ext. 1000) for train and car counts. Establish prep needs based on counts. Prepare all special event trays and fruit platters for the menu. Follow the proper first in first out (FIFO) rotation for stored foods. Keep prep area swept, mopped and free of water. Keep shelving and storage areas clean and organized. Utilize all systems such as train prep sheets, car capacity, food weights and waste sheets. Perform all daily cleaning assignments on Cleaning Schedule. Perform all daily cleaning assignments on Closing CheckList. Lifting up to 25 lbs on a continual basis and be able to lift up to 70 lbs several times per day. Perform repetitive motions for up to 45 minutes at a time.
RV Park and “C” Store:
Guest Service Agent Lead II; 1 FT
This full-time position would assist the RV Park & Kennel Supervisor/Manager in day to day operations. Candidates must have excellent customer service & communication skills, cash handling/computer experience, along with enjoying working with people and pets. Applicants must be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
Guest Service Agent II; 1 FT (2/26)
Applicants must be able to work in a face paced environment, have excellent communication skills, computer and cash handling skills and superior customer service skills along with enjoying working with people and pets. Applicants must be willing to work split-shifts, flexible hours including nights, weekends and Holidays.
Retail Sales Department:
Retail Sales Associate: 1 FT (02/26)
This is a full-time position at the Depot retails store. Must be able to work all shop hours, holidays and weekends. Applicants need to have computer experience and be able to operate point-of-sale terminal which includes cash, credit card, and voucher transactions; also exchanges and refunds. Must be able to handle stressful situations in a public setting; be physically able to move merchandise (50 lbs or more) from stockroom to shop display and assist with housekeeping duties of the shop. Previous retail and/or cash experience preferred.
Grand Canyon Railway Mechanical Department:
HVAC Technician: 1 FT (03/05)
Must have ability to maintain DC & AC high and low voltage electrical systems on railroad equipment. A minimum of 3 years experience preferred with knowledge in the DC & AC fields; must be able to troubleshoot and must be able to read wiring schematics. Applicants must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Grand Canyon Railway Hotel:
Housekeepers; 3 FT
Duties include, but are not limited to: cleaning and stocking hotel rooms. Applicants must be dependable, hardworking, and display good work ethics. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays.
